The learning process begins from gestation. Parents usually talk to the baby, tell stories, play music and even in some cases apply textures to the womb so that the fetus can start using its senses. In addition, there are some babies who in the last trimester of pregnancy, respond with small movements to the voice of their parents as they begin to recognize it. There are studies that show that fetuses begin to feel after 25 weeks of life, when the nerve connections in the cerebral cortex responsible for pain develop.
After birth, it comes the stage of interacting with the new world, and all that it offers. The senses are sharpened and curiosity flourishes fueled by experiences, and games, for example: rattles, mobiles, stuffed animals, gym for babies, and so on.
Later, a more complex education arrives, where the foundations for good learning are given, such as reading and writing. With the passing of the years, other academic knowledge is added, such as mathematics, language, history, geography, philosophy, among others. Other skills contribute to personal and group development such as sports or the arts; in this way the worldview of each human being expands and forms the integrity of the person.
When suddenly comes the time to make one of the most important decisions of life, what are we going to study at the university? Doubts begin to arise. Finally, we have the opportunity to choose the path we wish to take, it is a huge responsibility. For some people it is easier than for others; but we must understand that it is a personal process and everyone has their moment.
For many people the university is the last stop of academic knowledge, but you never stop learning. The possibilities are endless, and every day we learn even unconsciously. Education is powerful because it has the power to transform. There is a famous quote from Uruguayan writer and journalist Eduardo Galeano that says: "After all, we are what we do to change who we are."
Knowledge deserves to be shared through education and the power that drives it makes it eternal, as long as there is someone willing to teach, the transformation will continue.
